We shall be offering our Christmas party menu from Monday 26th November

Butternut squash, ginger and honey soup with crème fraiche and crusty bread V
Wild boar and raisin terrine with sourdough bread and an apple and cranberry chutney
Roasted turnip and caramelised onion tart with feta cheese curd and dressed wild rocket V
Scottish smoked salmon on granary toast with pickled beetroot aioli
Chestnut, black olive and thyme paté with grilled rustic baguette, spiced pear and cress Vv
Roasted crown of turkey, with roasted potatoes, seasonal vegetables, Cumberland pigs in blankets, sage and apricot stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy
Slow braised beef bourguignon with smoked bacon lardons and caramelised button onions with celeriac mash and fine beans
Celeriac and leek risotto with roasted pine nuts, truffle oil and dressed cucumber spaghetti Vv
Gressingham duck leg confit with a butter bean, kale and chorizo stew, with a smoked garlic jus
Rolled plaice fillet on a polenta and red pepper cake with grilled lettuce and a tomato and basil coulis
Mushroom, wilted spinach and chestnut rice wellington with dressed pea shoots and thyme jus Vv
Traditional Christmas pudding with brandy sauce V
Belgian dark chocolate tart with a red berry coulis and Madagascan vanilla ice-cream V
Almond, coconut and raisin rice pudding with a fresh raspberry compote Vv
Profiteroles filled with whipped cream, with a chocolate sauce and toasted almonds V
Cheeseboard – Stilton, Saint Nectaire and mature Cheddar with crackers, celery, grapes and an apple and chilli chutney V
